Join us for our monthly open mic partnership with Arts by the People. The Platform welcomes anyone who wants to share their work with a smart and empathetic community; from first time readers to seasoned authors. If you have an original poem, a piece of prose, or creative non-fiction, step up and give us a reading!
New in 2023! Arts by the People has added a pre-reading Writing/Performance workshop taught by one of their teaching artists. The workshop will cover the basics of writing poetry/prose/creative nonfiction as well as presentation techniques. The workshop is free and open to all.
For the readings, doors open at 7:30 pm for sign-up, first come, first served. We’ll fit in as many five-minute readings as can fit between a hard start at 8:00 and a hard finish at 9:30.
There will be coffee, tea, and other refreshments.
Free of charge, with a suggested donation of $5.00.
