Spend a Sunday afternoon with some live Jazz presented by the New Jersey Jazz Society. This month NJJS features The Martin Pizzarelli Trio.
Entertaining with a variety of songs from Duke to Benny to Gershwin…all infused with Martin’s dad’s – Bucky Pizzarelli – arrangements.
Martin reunites with Bob Albanese on piano – a stellar, swinging pianist whom he played with 30 years ago at the Rainbow Room in NYC, and GRAMMY Award Winner and Musical Director Linus Wyrsch on sax and clarinet.
These cats are going to have fun performing for njjs fans and all, like Bucky did for 50 years – from Waterloo to Madison, NJ.
NJJS will continue a new tradition at the MCAC– The Rising Stars– young students of Jazz culled from education programs in the Northern New Jersey area to play as an opening act to the featured performers.
