Making a Gift to the Madison Arts and Culture Alliance: A Note from Jerry Vezza, President of MACA

Dear Friend,
I’ve been thinking about why I love Madison and it was rather easy to come up with a wonderful listย that would be familiar to all of us. There is one special attribute however that couldn’t be saidย of many other towns. It’s that Madison has a vibrant arts and culture environment. Your generous support of the Madison Arts and Culture Alliance has helped to make this a reality.

Since our inception over fifteen years ago, MACA has evolved, but our mission has been steadfast. As a coalition of arts organizations, cultural institutions, neighbors, colleagues and friends, we have been dedicated to encouraging a wide range of cultural offerings, bringing together artists, educators, businesspeople, community leaders, and others towards a common goal: to support the cultural institutions and programs that improve Madison’s economy and quality of life.

We at MACA aim our attention to arts and culture because we believe it to be of the highest importance to the vitality of a community. As an alliance we seek collaboration and have forged tremendous partnerships. Most notably, together with the Borough of Madison and the Downtown Development Corporation we have accomplished great things. Just a few examples are the enhanced music offerings at Bottle Hill Day, making it among everything else, one of the largest music
festivals in the state. The annual Holiday Arts Festival featuring two days of music in our downtown attracting Madison families and visitors from towns far and wide. The Madison Community Arts Center on Kings Road is a unique state-of-the-art facility for the community. It is nearly fully booked with a diverse range of events. Please visit the MACA website: madisonartsnj.org to see the calendar of events.

This leads me to one of our current goals, which is to create a master Madison Events calendar so that everyone can easily stay informed about all the exciting events in Madison. There’s much more going on in town than people know but getting people’s attention in this busy digital age is a daunting task. We’d like to change but we need your help. I kindly ask you to donate to the Madison Arts and Culture Alliance. Your generous support will ensure our ability to sustain and continue our mission. You can make your donation online here, visiting our website,ย  or mailing a check to the Madison Arts and Culture Alliance. PO Box 178 Madison, NJ 07940.

Many thanks,
Jerry Vezza
