Hidden Figures | A Celebration of the Vibrant Black History of Madison | June 1- 5

The Hidden Figures Project, now in its third year, honors the lives of Black Madisonians who have made a significant contribution not only to the Borough, but to the State of New Jersey and the World.

Student art, which includes “trading cards” and Cento or “patchwork” Poems (an example of which is on the right) will grace the gallery for five days, including the day-long events on June 3 (see below)

A full slate of events, including activities for children (two sessions, 9:30-10:30 am & 10:45-11:45 am), a panel discussion between 12 and 1 (participants TBA), and a celebration with a gospel choir, a DJ, and free giveaways between 1 and 3. Gallery Schedule

Public viewing hours by week are listed below. MCAC is a multi-use venue, so pay careful attention to daily times, as these change, due to scheduled events in the space. Exhibitions remain on the walls at all times, and can be viewed during the events, time and space permitting. You can advance weeks by clicking on the arrows by the date span or drop down the date span for a specific week.
