Tuba player David Ostwald leads his legendary Louis Armstrong Eternity Band in an exciting program of hot jazz, ignited by the soulful spirit of the man himself. Now in its twentieth year of a weekly Wednesday engagement at New York City’s Birdland, the band has made multiple appearances at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer’s Night Swing, at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, at Jazz in July at the 92nd Street Y, at Lionel Hampton’s New Orleans-style funeral procession, at Scotland’s Nairn International Jazz Festival, at Wales’ Brecon Jazz Festival, among numerous other festival and concert appearances.
